Kimchi Bobotie

A twist on the Cape Malay classic — savoury mince baked with a golden egg custard top. The secret kick? Che Gourmet Kimchi, folded into the mince for a tangy, fiery layer that balances the sweet chutney.

What You’ll Need:

  • 500g beef mince

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 tbsp curry powder

  • ½ cup raisins

  • 2 tbsp chutney

  • 1 cup Che Gourmet Kimchi (chopped)

  • 2 eggs + 1 cup milk (for topping)

Method in a Nutshell:

  1. Fry onion + curry powder, add mince, raisins & chutney.

  2. Stir in chopped kimchi.

  3. Transfer to dish, pour custard on top, bake at 180°C until golden.
